When to Hire a Kitchen Interior Designer?
I get a lot of clients asking “When should I have hired you?”
My answer is always: right away!
When you decide to renovate, you should look for a kitchen interior designer that matches your aesthetic and personality. The best way to determine a match is to look through their past work and potentially speak with their past clients.
In my opinion, hiring a designer should be one of the first steps!
Kitchen Designers have a network of suppliers, business professionals, trades contacts, etc. that they have worked with and trust, so the process for you will be much easier. The project will go much smoother if a designer is involved from the very beginning. With a designer’s experience, comes the expertise.
They will be able to catch challenges of the space, and find unique ways to make the space functional. A designer can guide you in your decision making, give you un-bias opinions and really bring your vision to life.
I believe that, especially in kitchen & bath design, the home owner absolutely needs a designer’s involvement.
Kitchens & bathrooms are a very technical part of the house!
...And these spaces require in-depth knowledge of how the space will work and function. Working with a designer from the start will eliminate any kinks and (some) unforeseen issues that may arise.
